Details

The Bright Lights For Africa Foundation is dedicated to improving access to sustainable energy solutions in underserved African communities. To continue its impactful work, the foundation seeks to secure funding through well-crafted grant proposals. The project involves developing a comprehensive understanding of the foundation's mission, goals, and past achievements to create compelling narratives that resonate with potential funders. Learners will apply their persuasive writing skills and attention to detail to draft grant proposals that effectively communicate the foundation's initiatives and the positive impact of its work. This project provides an opportunity for learners to apply classroom knowledge in writing and communication to a real-world scenario, enhancing their skills in grant writing and nonprofit fundraising.

Deliverables

The primary deliverable for this project is a complete grant proposal ready for submission to potential funders. Additional deliverables include a summary document outlining the foundation's key initiatives and impact, and a list of potential funding sources. Learners will also provide a presentation summarizing their proposal and the rationale behind their approach. These deliverables will demonstrate the learners' ability to translate organizational goals into persuasive written content.
