A start-up real estate investment company owned by Zimbabwean women in Canada is ready to transition from start-up to growth phase. This company is currently run by volunteers and seeks to transition to attract technocrats, external financing while keeping shareholders engaged. You will actively contribute to researching, identifying and documenting identify the growth drivers. In this role you will research various growth enablers in sectors of finance, legal, governance, real estate market and branding. The key project deliverable is a business strategy, including business tactics and supporting budget.

The interns will support the work to;

- Streamline organizational priorities by directing them towards the best use of resources, while achieving the company mission, goals and objectives through stakeholder participation

- Design strategy, implementation plans , and develop performance management indicators

- Review and updating supporting policies and procedures

Deliverables

- Review existing documents such as financial statements

- Conduct research on real estate market in Canada and international emerging markets

- Conduct research on various company structures

- Prepare strategic planning facilitation guide

- Document strategic planning meeting points

- Draft strategic plan and update as feedback is received

- Write final strategy that integrates all feedback provided

- Draft various templates that will be utilization during implementation, reporting and measuring performance

Mentorship

- Scheduled frequent meetings to provide guidance

- Access to key interviewees/data sources

- Strategy template with guidance on how to complete

- Flexible work schedule
