Recent projects
Enhancing Website Traffic for KARA
Improve the number of readers and time spent on each page of Kids At Risk Action articles on our WordPress blog. This will create more awareness for critical issues facing abused and neglected children and more support for their well-being.
KARA Website Enhancement Initiative
KARA's current WordPress website serves as a crucial platform for outreach, information dissemination, and community engagement. However, the site requires enhancements to improve user experience, accessibility, and content management. The goal of this project is to optimize the website's functionality and design, ensuring it effectively supports KARA's mission. The project will involve analyzing the existing website, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes that align with best practices in web design and user experience. Key tasks include updating the site's layout, enhancing navigation, and ensuring mobile responsiveness. This project provides an opportunity for learners to apply their web development skills in a real-world context, contributing to a meaningful cause.
Analyzing Political Impact on Child Welfare
The project aims to explore and document the consequences of current American politics on child welfare, focusing on how policy decisions affect vulnerable children. The goal is to create a comprehensive chapter for a book that KARA is developing, which will serve as an educational resource and advocacy tool. Learners will research recent political developments, analyze their implications on child welfare, and synthesize findings into a coherent narrative. This project provides an opportunity for students to apply their research, writing, and analytical skills learned in the classroom. The project will involve tasks such as literature review, data analysis, and drafting a well-structured chapter. The final output will contribute to raising awareness and informing stakeholders about the critical issues facing children in the current political climate.
Social Media Awareness Campaign for Child Abuse Prevention
The project increases public awareness about child abuse, its severe consequences, and preventive measures by leveraging social media platforms. Kids At Risk Action (KARA) seeks to amplify its critical information to a broader audience, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and addressing child abuse. The project will involve reposting KARA's social media content to grow readership and awareness. The team will research effective social media strategies, design visually appealing posts from KARA's library of work, and share content for optimal reach and engagement. By applying classroom knowledge of digital marketing and communication, learners will help KARA extend its reach and impact in the community. The project will encourage reposting across focus on platforms such as (af few examples): TikTok, WeChat, Telegram, Messenger, Snapchat, Douyin, Platform,Reddit,Kuaishou, LnkedIn, Twitter/X, Pinterest, Discord, Threads, Twitch, ensuring the message is consistent and compelling across all channels.
